About

Small man. Big Mountain.
The facts:
- Shane Carmichael
- Born 1975 and raised in Draperstown, Northern Ireland. A place of which I am proud and where I learned so much from so many
- A graduate of the outstanding CAM school at UUJ and latterly the Ulster Business School at UUJ where I completed my MBA. That’s Belfast, you call to me…
- A proud Alumni (1997) of the extraordinary Washington Ireland Program for Service and Leadership (WIP). I am currently on the WIP Ireland Board and am responsible for WIP Alumni coordination
- Currently a Senior Manager with Accenture UKI in London, I joined the firm (then Andersen Consulting) in January 1999 and have spent the last ten years as a proud employee of our Government (’Public Service’) Counsulting practice, specialising in Performance Improvement, Policy Implementation, Change Management and Human Performance
- I have a passion for Politics, Policy and Governance as well as a profound interest in the management of change – in particular the role of behavioral economics, social & evolutionary psychology therein
- A textbook Irish Gemini; when not working, travelling, reading, listening to music, drinking, enjoying the company of friends, attending any networking event I can sneak into, watching Manchester United or contemplating the meaning of my existence, I can be found listless, stationery, falling behind on the book list (and Google Reader), in silence, drinking, alone and contemplating the meaning of my existence
- I live in blissful Brixton with my wife. I apologise to her a lot.
